There , I did it,  I have done my provincial duty voting for the next premier of Alberta,  though,  quieite frankly,  I have not been watching or reading the local news these past few weeks to really know about the platforms the various parties involved are representing,  except for that ridiculous " Dani Bucks "gas rebate deal suggested by the ultra right wing Wildrose Party 's leader,  Danielle Smith,  nor have I have I been checking possible candidates for the provincial senate,  but then,  I vote from the heart and choose the one MP ( or is it MPP? ) and political party who will actually represent me and the people of Alberta.
It was such a lovely and sunny day for voting, I walked ten or eleven ( seemed more, but I did not care ) blocks to Killarney Community League where the voting in my area was taking place and ten blocks coming home .

I had promised you yesterday that I was going to talk about Dick Clark and the effect he had on me as a young television viewer in the mid seventies to mid eighties, well, the effect wasn't really that major to the point I had invited this charming, rather good looking man to my family,  but I liked what he stood for in the world of popular culture as the host of American Bandstand, presenting music to the masses that would normally raise the collective ire of uptight parents and authorities alike, for example, think James Brown and the Supremes back in the sixties or Madonna in the eighties.  I may not like every TV show he did, as producer and sometimes host, except $10,000 Pyramid and TV's Bloopers and Practical Jokes ( liked the bloopers,  didn't care much about the celebrity pranks ) , but I do respect him as both a human being and innovator who loved what he did,  even if it ultimately cost him his health .

I am going to sign off for now because I think I had enough of what I wanted to talk about today, even if it turned out vague to you ( I hope not ) , my mind has started to go blank and there are other stuff I want to do on my tablet,  so,  I will either see you tomorrow or some other day?

Oh man, do I have a lot to talk about today,  starting with my wifi connection trouble and various other things in life that kept me from doing a second post on Blogger.   On Wednesday,  I went to the little park just a couple blocks where I live where there is a wifi connection, but I had trouble due to the cold weather posting what was supposed to be my second TTE installment, even though earlier,  I had no major problems going on Twitter and Facebook ( but that could be the weather was a little cooperative at that time ) . On Friday , I decided to go to the park again,  against my better judgement,  thinking the worst of the weather that day won't happen until later,  in the early evening. Well,  guess what?  I was caught in a brief dust storm that quickly turned into a brief hail storm,  luckily I made it home safely . Yesterday was the most perfect day to return to that unnamed park,  it was sunny and warm,  good springtime weather to be distracted from doing a long in depth blog,  but not enough to keep me from the BlackBerry Playbook App store ( hey,  nothing wrong with being app crazy,  especially if they're free ) .
Today is a little chilly,  but still quite sunny,  and I going to do my post,  distractions be dammed!

Tomorrow is election day, time to elect a premier who actually cares about us Albertans ( sp? ) and not about money and oil ( sands ) this time around , but being the old cynical broad I am, we are going to end up with the same party who misrepresented us for the past four decades, or even worse, the Wildrose Party,  I am hoping I am wrong on this.

The Fox Television Network is having its 25th Anniversary special on tonight and I won't be watching it due to my disliking of televised retropectives. Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of that network,  though not all of its shows, for what it brought to commercial television in terms of what they could get away with artistically wise,  even if I may personally be disgusted by it,  but I feel I could I could learn both the network and shows's history by going on Wikipedia or the online Encyclopedia Brittiania ( if it still exist ) any old time.

There are other things on my mind that I want to talk about,  such as my thoughts on Dick Clark's passing last week and what watching American Bandstand meant to me as a kid growing up in the seventies,  but that is for another day as I need to sign off for now because my tablet needs recharging , so I shall meet with you again some other time.

Finally, my own little Blog!  For sometime,  ever since I joined the online world a couple years ago,  I have always wanted to enter the world of public blogging, wanting to share more than 140 characters or what Facebook can allow me to say on my statuses (sp? ) . I have this unashamed desire to be famous,  if not rich,  and be loved ( or hated or both ) by millions,  but if I can't be,  hey,  that's okay,  bl

ogging is meant to share and express ideas , whether you're a self absorbed celeb wannabe or a Jane Average like me who wants to be part of a community.  This blog that I'm doing will talk about everything as the title implies,  what I am feeling and thinking at the time. I could talk about theS presidential election or the election that is happening in my home province of Alberta . One blog could be about the end of one of my favorite TV shows of the 21th century,  House MD, the next could be my utter hate of certain TV shows from the seventies and eighties that rely on catchphrases made by supporting or lead characters.  I will also share aspects of my daily life,  but I can assure you that I will go into that cringe making,  very very personal , too much info path . I don't have Internet connection on my desktop computer and I rely on Wifi hotspots on my tablet if I am lucky that day to get one,  so what I will publish will either be daily or weekly depending on the area I am in where there is a hotspot.  Good day for now,  hope to be back soon.
